Learning Partners:  A school-based tutoring program whereby SOAR
volunteers help one-on-one or in small groups with students who need help improving reading and math skills. Learning Partners is part of a nationwide
initiative to help children reach grade level reading and math skills by the end of
the 3rd grade which studies have shown to be of significance to success in school.   Learning Partners serve in schools in Newton, Wellesley, Framingham
and Wayland.

Kids Korps:  SOAR volunteers work one-on-one or in small groups with
Head Start children to help improve pre-literacy skills and help develop motor
skills and concept development by reading stories, playing games, doing crafts, etc. 

Steps for Success:  SOAR tutors  help adults with self-improvement.  SOAR volunteers help: tutor ESL (English as a Second Languate) or with GED
(high school equivalency exam) preparation

Friendly Visitors:  SOAR volunteers visit and provide companionship to
isolated and lonely elderly on a regular basis. 

CENTS:  (Credit Education Now to Students) A school-based educational program in collaboration with Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern
New England where SOAR volunteers conduct one time presentations about the wise use of credit cards to area high school seniors.Training and support is provided by SOAR.

SOAR Consulting Group   Our SOAR Nonprofit Management Consulting Group is a team of highly skilled executives who have been trained to serve as consultants for local non-profit agencies and organizations. This project is part of
our menu of service programs –there is no charge.
