Discovering What’s Next: ReVitalizing Retirement™ (DWN) is a community-based 501(c) 3 non-profit organization engaging mid-life and older adults in the creative exploration of their next life stage. DWN provides connection, direction and opportunities for learning and community involvement.
Since DWN’s launch in November 2002, SOAR has been a key community collaborator and works closely with Discovering What’s Next™ in areas of volunteer recruitment, training, and service opportunities.
Discovering What’s Next™ has its base of operations at the Newton Free Library on the 3rd floor where trained volunteers called Transition Navigators™ staff a unique resource and connection HUB for mid-life and older adults. DWN volunteers also create and run an evolving array of self-directed programs including:
- Public forums at the library
- Topical hands-on workshops
- Small group monthly Transition Talks™
- Men’s Group
- Where Next Travel Club
- Periodic Meeting-ups at the HUB
- Film and Discussion Club
We welcome your involvement. For more information, visit the DWN website at www.discoveringwhatsnext.com or 617-796-1419
